About the Artist

JoJo Mason

The core question that drives JoJo Mason's approach to music and life is, "Why not?" That philosophy heavily influenced his most recent single, "Bottom Shelf" — an immensely hooky, upbeat country soul track that found the Vancouver-based country artist exploring a new musical direction grounded in his long-time musical fascinations and unfailingly positive outlook.

Mason has taken the opportunity to reinvent himself, expanding on his signature take with a country soul sound that's a rarity these days — blending his love for soul and Motown with the warmth and openness of country music.

"The best thing about being an artist is you get to try so many different things, and country music is so accepting and eclectic. Incorporating my love for soul and Motown, growing as an artist, experimenting, and showing different sides of who I am — that's my jam. Why not chase what speaks to me?"

Since breaking into the Canadian country music scene over nine years ago, JoJo Mason has been on a continued mission to find his own unique voice and connect with fans through his music. With an incredible six Top 10 tracks, he has earned a CRIA Gold-certification for his single "Better On You", been nominated for multiple CCMA Awards, and accumulated over 50 million career streams to date.

We are honoured to welcome JoJo Mason to the 2nd Annual Transformations: From Silence to Sound, where he will perform an intimate acoustic set in support of the Children's Hearing & Speech Centre of BC — joining the cause to help children who are deaf and hard of hearing find their own voice.
